As the new school year is about to begin, so does a new chapter for Connect Happy Valley.

We’re not just launching a website — we’re opening a space for connection.
It’s a place where stories, events, and everyday moments bring our community closer — one connection at a time.
For years, Connect Happy Valley focused on business-to-business content — industry, investment, and commerce. That work laid a strong foundation. But now, we’re shifting toward something deeper and more personal: a community site designed to connect hearts.
We’re becoming a digital town square — a place where every segment of our region can find real value, feel seen, and stay connected.
The 20 Connectors — Leading with HEART
This vision isn’t being built in isolation.
Twenty local leaders, creators, and everyday champions of Happy Valley have stepped up — self-selecting not for money or recognition, but because they believe in the heart of this region.
They’re our Connectors — volunteers who will serve as moderators, writers, and catalysts for connection.
They’re helping shape the tone, content, and spirit of the platform.
They’re building something that lifts our community in both measurable and immeasurable ways.
As, one of those Connectors, a local business owner put it, when reviewing the strategic plan:
“I don’t see anything missing. What I DO see is something that makes so much sense. I like the guidelines… the filters. The tone… all of it. If we can really pull this off, it would be a game-changer for the community.”
We agree. And we’re grateful for her voice and direction.
What You Can Expect
Connect Happy Valley is designed to be both a utility and an entertainment hub — a place where you can plan your weekend, discover local stories, and find meaningful ways to engage.
Here’s how we’re serving different segments of our community:
- Alumni: “I want a one-stop place to keep my Happy Valley connection alive — especially during football season. If we can beat Ohio State and make a run, I want to feel like I’m right there.”
- Parents: “I need to know my student is finding opportunities to grow, get credentialed in this AI-driven world, and stay balanced and we plan to visit often.”
- Students: “Make it easy for me to find what’s worth my time — events, activities, internships — and still have a social life.”
- Locals & Retirees: “I want the ultimate local calendar, so I never miss something amazing happening right here.”
Why HEART Over Fear
The easy thing for a platform to do is chase clicks — stir division, create controversy, or prey on fear to get attention.
History shows this works in the short term. But it corrodes trust, weakens connection, and leaves communities fragmented.
We’re choosing differently.
We’re building Connect Happy Valley with open innovation principles — inviting the community to help shape the platform — and using the HEART over Fear framework to guide every decision.
That means:
- Human connection first
- Experiences that belong to everyone
- A bias for gratitude and service
- Thoughtful discussion boards
We’re Not There Yet — But We’re All In
Right now, we’re in build mode.
The ultimate searchable events calendar? Coming.
Seamless discussions that connect neighbors, alumni, and visitors? On the roadmap.
This is a beginning — and it’s being built with heart.
We invite you to explore, contribute, and connect.
Because this isn’t just a new site.
It’s a new way to live and visit Happy Valley — together.
