The CVIM Story: Community Care in Action
CVIM is where miracles meet hard work. They provide free medical, dental, and behavioral health services to over 14,000 Centre County neighbors who work hard but fall through the cracks: earning too much for public assistance yet unable to afford insurance.
The numbers tell an incredible story:
- 325+ volunteers donating their hearts and hands.
- 13,535 volunteer hours in 2024 alone
- 470+ medical patients, 700+ dental patients (including kids!), and nearly 100 behavioral health patients served.
- Almost 3,000 prescriptions filled, valued at nearly $1.3 million.
- Over $3.7 million in free care delivered to our community.
And here is the kicker: CVIM receives zero federal or state funding. They turn every dollar donated into $4 in services through pure community magic: volunteers, donors, grants, and events just like this cornhole tournament.
