Luke Massaro was born and raised in State College before heading off to Bucknell University, where he earned his degree and played football for the Bison. After seven years in the Rockies, living in Colorado and Montana, Luke returned in 2018 with his wife, also a State College native, to put down roots, raise their two children (now ages 5 and 7), and build community in Happy Valley.
As a CPA and finance professional, Luke blends people skills, technology, and business expertise to help organizations reach their financial goals. His favorite local spot is the beloved Ernie’s Steaks, known as the “biggest smallest kitchen,” though he still misses the legendary Suzie Wong Egg Roll.
If Luke could have a local superpower, it would be learning how to ride a wheelie. He is most often found active in the Borough, staying connected with neighbors and friends. Inspired by the enriching and connected spirit of the Connect HappyValley newsletter, Luke joined as a Connector to explore what’s next and to help strengthen ties across the Centre region through its people.
What excites Luke most about being a Connector is the chance to meet the business, organization, and community leaders who play such a vital role in making State College a better place for everyone.
