With a beautiful stretch of weather, Happy Valley feels like it has officially shifted into summer mode.
There is a lot happening, and it is hard to fit it all into one weekly roundup.
That is part of why we are excited to soon launch a new version of Connect Happy Valley. In addition to this weekly roundup, we look forward to bringing you deeper dives, curated guides, and more ways to find the events that fit your interests and your schedule, while maybe introducing you to something new along the way.
For now, here are some of the highlights happening around Happy Valley this week.
Major Community & Seasonal Events

A favorite summer tradition, WingFest #1, kicks off Thursday at Tussey Mountain with My Hero Zero and Lowjack.
Happy Valley Restaurant Week starts Friday at participating restaurants throughout the area, giving everyone a good reason to get out and support local dining.
State College Pride 2026 brings its annual parade and festival to town on Saturday.
The weekend also brings IRONMAN 70.3, with athletes, families, volunteers, and visitors filling the State College and Penn State area.
Live After 5 and East End Social continue to bring more energy downtown.
Outdoor, Parks & Adventure
This evening at The Arboretum at Penn State, look for Yoga in the Gardens.
Centred Outdoors offers a Galbraith Gap Guided Outing on Thursday.
On Friday, head back to The Arboretum for a Native Edible Plants Walk or a Harvest Tasting.

Sunday offers Speeder Rides in Bellefonte as part of the Outdoor Adventure on Tap series through the Central PA Tasting Trail.
Family & Kids
Tonight is Family Game Night for Veterans at Autumnwood Park.
Friday night brings Movies Under the Stars: Wicked at Sidney Friedman Park.


Saturday at The Rivet offers a hands-on DIY with Dad event just ahead of Father’s Day weekend, and The Arboretum also has Discovery Drop-In Weekend Edition.
Live Music & Concerts

Thursday bringss Elijah Snyder Jazz Quartet to Pine Grove Hall and Shannon McNally to The State Theatre.
Garifuna Collective also performs the same night at East End Social and Manny’s Live Performance Space.

On Friday, Pine Grove Hall hosts Desperados Under the Eaves: A Zevon & Ronstadt Tribute, while Walter Survivor, Christine Schafer & Ryan Vaughan perform at Lemont Village Green.
Eric Scott Trio performs at Pine Grove Hall on Saturday.


Sunday includes Summer Sounds at Bellefonte with The Lindy Sisters and the South Hills Music Picnic Series featuring the Nittany Knights.
Moonstock also brings Lord Forest to its backyard stage in Port Matilda. This kid-friendly outdoor concert series features area musicians in a laid-back setting
On Monday, catch Alicia Blue at The Attic.
Arts, Theatre, Film & Museums
Join the Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop on Thursday at the Bellefonte Art Museum.
Thursday also brings Sensory-Friendly Hours at the Palmer Museum of Art.

Wild Child runs Thursday through Saturday at Penn State Downtown Theatre. The new musical is part of Penn State Centre Stage and Penn State Musical Theatre.
The Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania hosts the Bonsai Exhibit & Sale in Lemont on Friday.
Friday Night Improv at The Blue Brick Theatre is another great pick this week.
Food, Drink & Social Nights
On Thursday, Lion Country Line Dancing returns to Axemann Brewery in Bellefonte.
Friday brings “Summer Solstice” Bingo with Beth at Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery.

On Saturday, Manny’s hosts Salsa Dancing with Lessons.
On Monday, Crafts and Brews takes place at Boal City Brewing.
Sports
Gather at Alla Spina for the USA vs. Paraguay Soccer Watch Party on Friday night.

Catch a baseball game as the State College Spikes host the Canada Jr. Team on Tuesday at Medlar Field, with a special appearance by Penn State defensive lineman Keanu Williams.
