For the past several years, Connect Happy Valley has been telling the stories of the people, places, events, nonprofits, traditions, and businesses that make this region special.
Along the way, we’ve learned something important.
People aren’t looking for more information.
They’re looking for help discovering what matters.
They’re looking for places worth visiting.
Events worth attending.
Trails worth exploring.
Restaurants worth trying.
Organizations worth supporting.
And opportunities to participate more fully in the life of this community.
That’s why we’ve spent the past year building something entirely new.
Soon we’ll be launching the next generation of Connect Happy Valley.
Part local guide.
Part community platform.
Part event engine.
Part insider network.
Designed around one simple mission:
Help people discover what matters, where the energy is, and how to participate more fully in the life of Happy Valley.
The new platform will make it easier to:
• Find events and experiences
• Discover gathering places
• Explore trails, attractions, and hidden gems
• Connect with nonprofits and causes
• Experience Penn State traditions
• Find places to stay
• Watch local livestreams and conversations
• Access Insider perks, recommendations, and experiences
Most importantly, it is being built around participation, not simply content.
Because the best communities are not created by people scrolling.
They are created by people showing up.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll begin sharing sneak peeks and inviting readers to help shape what comes next.
Today, we’re opening the curtain just a little.
This is not the finished product.
It’s an early look at where Connect Happy Valley is headed.
Take a look.
Explore.
Kick the tires.
Send us your thoughts.
And if you believe stronger communities are built when people gather, participate, volunteer, support local businesses, and connect with one another, we think you’re going to love what’s coming next.
The future of Connect Happy Valley is almost here.
And we’re just getting started.
Real Life, Curated.
