Stop On By: Celebrate Local Makers & Science at the 6th Annual Rivet Winter Market in State College

This weekend, take a break from the usual and step into a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and community. The 6th Annual Rivet Winter Market returns on Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1224 N. Atherton Street, and you’re invited to stop on by for a weekend that’s anything but ordinary.

Here’s How the Day Unfolds:

Start Outside:
Explore 70+ local makers offering everything from pottery and fiber arts to jewelry, woodworking, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Grab a bite from one of the food trucks before heading in.

Step Inside:
Discover The Customization Station where you can personalize notebooks, keychains, pet ID tags, and more. It’s the perfect place to create something meaningful for yourself or someone special.

Bring the Kids:
Thanks to support from the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, admission to Discovery Space is free for families all weekend. Enjoy live children’s concerts (12 to 2 p.m. each day), face painting, and the crowd-favorite prize wheel fundraiser.

Wrap It Up (Literally):
Stop by the Gift-Wrapping Station to put the finishing touches on your haul using our festive supplies. Suggested donations support our mission.

Don’t Miss the Extras:
Create custom lab coats (Winter Market exclusive), scoop up science kits and plushies, or drop in to say hi to Pearl the stingray who is celebrating her first Winter Market.

And remember, this isn’t just a market. It’s a mission. Every purchase, donation, and prize wheel spin supports Discovery Space and The Rivet in delivering STEM and maker experiences across Central PA. Want to give back directly? Head over to the Give-Back Zone and help assemble free STEM kits for community distribution.
